life lessons from my dance teachers
- if you can’t believe in yourself or that you know what you’re doing, no one will be able to believe it either
- don’t get stuck in a box. push through the walls, aim to be better, to change, to grow
- sometimes you should just stop worrying and start doing things no matter how hard they seem.
- there will always be people who are three times less talented, three times less intellient than you and three times less capable of what you are capable of and they will still be three times more successful than you are. why? because they are three times more confident. don’t let them run you over only because of that.
- if you start something late, that doesn’t mean you can’t be as good as the ones who started very early. with some extra practice you can even be better than them. stay determined.
- don’t take talent for granted. talent is a base you have to build more and more on. always try to improve yourself.
- it’s okay not to be okay. it’s okay to ask for help. it’s okay to rest. it’s okay to take a break. great things take time and that includes the low points and getting up from them too. you will eventually get where you want to be, be patient with yourself.
- being a good person cannot be thaught and it’s the most important thing you can ever be. you can learn many things. you can learn how to be strong, productive, confident. so don’t go hard on yourself because you don’t know something that can be learned anytime. you are a good person and that is perfectly enough.
Don’t let this moment go to waste; you don’t know when the feeling could happen again.
